After graduating from Cambridge in 1882, Arthur Shipley (1861-1927) worked at Christ's College as a natural sciences tutor while continuing his studies in zoology. Shipley's studies focused specifically on parasitic worms. He functioned as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge from 1917 to 1919. Elected to the Royal Society in 1904, Shipley wrote several significant zoology textbooks including The Zoology of the Invertebrata and Textbook of Zoology with colleague Ernest MacBride. Then, both he and Sidney Frederic Harmer co-edited the ten-volume Cambridge Natural History. Paper containing signature and remaining clippings are toned.
