Mealor wrote Wherever You Are specifically for Gareth Malone’s BBC2 hit programme ‘The Choir’. The words of the song have been compiled from letters to and from the servicemen and their wives on a 6-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. Re-recorded by Tenebrae choir for this special edition, this song has gained national popularity due to its raw emotion.
